The Huron Playhouse is committed to fair and unbiased casting procedures. Casting of actors in roles is done on the basis of acting skill and ability demonstrated during the audition process, as well as on the actor’s appropriateness and suitability (physical, vocal, mental, emotional) for available roles, except in cases where age, race, or physical ability are essential to the role.
We may begin making offers on a rolling basis, but casting and hiring will continue until all roles and positions are filled. Typically, we are done with most of our hiring by mid to late March. We typically audition and interview over 2,000 people, so it is impossible to contact everyone as to whether they have been hired or not. We are only able to contact people we are interested in hiring, but we encourage everyone to apply in future seasons.
For any questions regarding casting and hiring contact Nick Hrutkay, Artistic Director at: firstname.lastname@example.org. No phone calls please.
